At Summer Camp we did alot of fun things. On the way up we went to the Cabela's in Dallas, Van Briggle Pottery, the Garden of the Gods, and the Molly Kathleen gold mine. Once we reached camp we went to our campsite and got all our gear into the tents. After 5 days at camp we went to Denver, then home. While we were in Denver we visited Hammond's candy factory, Casa Bonita Family Restaurant, and the Denver Mint. After 9 days away from home we finally came back.

The preparation began months before the actual date with the scouts taking long hikes with their backpacks and learning how to pack everything they needed into a 5 gallon bucket for the 10 day canoe and hike trip. They canoed for a total of 100-125 miles while portaging when necessary.
